The programme provides a well-rounded marketing education that fosters the critical and strategic skills to multiply your career prospects. You will learn about the global issues as well as the theories, tools, and techniques that connect and shape firms, markets and consumers. You will also have the flexibility to choose between elective modules to advance your specific marketing interests, such as digital marketing and branding strategy. In the final term, you will work a ‘deep dive’ dissertation for a client to explore real-life solutions to a problem and present and develop your findings. The programme’s core courses bring learning from the latest research into the classroom, giving a well-rounded, critical analysis of consumer behaviour and data analytics, in the context of real business challenges.

This means students can revise taught material in a way that suits them best, whether it’s replaying a recording of a class or adapting written material shared in class using specialist software. We will support you to confidently use a huge range of learning technologies, including Blackboard, Collaborate Ultra, DMU Replay, MS Teams, Turnitin and more. Alongside this, you can access LinkedIn Learning and learn how to use Microsoft 365, and study support software such as mind mapping and note-taking through our new Digital Student Skills Hub. Benefit from our innovative range of assessments that are used to increase your digital and knowledge and prepare you for a graduate career through a variety of real-world scenarios. This module provides you with the opportunity both to reflect upon practical experience as well as develop your capabilities and profile so you are on course for life after graduation. The module builds upon research and study skills developed in earlier modules.

The course has recognition from a range of well-respected professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Data and Marketing. Dr Yasmin Ibrahim Professor of Digital Economy and Culture; Head of Department of Marketing Dr Ibrahim has published extensively in the field of media and communications. Her research explores the cultural dimensions and social and ethical implications of new media technologies. Take an active role in your own learning and make use of workspaces and interactive collaboration spots, such as the Innovation Pod or the Think Pod. In addition, benefit from access to Queen Mary’s comprehensive libraries as well as other resources.

This describes the structures and processes by which UEL protects the health and safety of its staff, students and visitors. It confirms that students will receive sufficient information, instruction and induction in relation to health and safety. This class aims to move beyond the traditional focus upon the act of buying , to focus on having and being as fundamental processes in value formation. The course has a dedicated careers specialist for group sessions, employability seminars, individual interviews and CV compilation and continues to support graduates for a year after graduation. Candidates that do not currently meet the set entry requirements may also have the option to study the Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences. Meeting the required grades on completion of this programme will provide a pathway to study MSc Marketing.
