Holders of the Shahadat-al-thanwiia-al-a’ama are not normally eligible for direct entry onto our undergraduate courses without completion of a suitable foundation programme, such as one of our foundation pathways. CAPE is graded on a I to VI scale and we would typically look for a minimum of II in each subject taken to include I in any required subject and for AAA-AAB offers to include a at least half the subjects at grade I. The remainder of the working week consists of self-guided study based on degree programme content and requirements of specific modules. International Baccalaureate with 32 points overall for entrance to most of our undergraduate programmes, certain courses will require specific grades and subjects at Higher Level. Modules

As an business management student, you’ll have access to a range of industry-standard software, all on campus such as our state-of-the-art Financial Markets Lab, and Bloomberg and Datastream financial software. This module is concerned with exploring the dimensions of work and employment in the twenty-first century. It will explore as its central motif notions of ‘decent work and ‘job quality within the contemporary political economy. We will examine the key dimensions of job quality focussing on issues relating to skill formation, employee autonomy and growing work pressures. As a result questions such as ‘what makes a job have quality ‘why are bad jobs growing ‘are graduate jobs disappearing and ‘is knowledge work on the increase will be considered. The module will draw on a wide body of both empirical research as well as requiring a theoretical engagement with the subject.

In your final year, you’ll complete one of four capstone research project options where you’ll use your research skills to explore a business issue. In your first year, you’ll study a module in Digital Business, which will equip you with the digital skills you need to succeed in the modern workplace. You will receive training on personal effectiveness skills such as presentation skills, leadership skills, and ways to enhance your employability. Each week you will have a variety of learning opportunities to supplement your independent study. This course will prepare you for a rewarding management career, within the fast-paced world of business.
